Current Account

A transactional account with cheque book for your everyday banking needs. Corporate clients are provided with a reproduction of every cheque cleared on the account with their monthly statements. Interim statements are available on request and can also be requested through our unique FMB Mail service.

The bank pays interest on any current account balance above K250,000.

Foreign Currency Denominated Accounts

Clients who are legitimately in receipt of foreign currency earnings may maintain accounts denominated in foreign currency. >> Find out more

FMB provides a wide range of highly competitive, efficient and flexible cross border banking services.

Domestic Funds Transfer

Transfers can be immediately effected in real time to other accounts held at any FMB branch using our internal banking software or to accounts held at branches of other banks in Malawi through the inter bank funds transfer system (CRISP).

Cheques drawn on an FMB account can be cleared same day at any FMB branch in Malawi. FMB cheques presented at other banks or other bank cheques presented at FMB are cleared on the third day following presentation.
