Cash Passport, a pre-paid US Dollar currency card issued by FMB on behalf of Travellex, is a new way of taking your spending money abroad. You can then use the card to pay for goods and services in millions of restaurants, hotels and shops worldwide that display the Visa Electron symbol. It also offers instant access to the local currency of the country you are in, from more than one million Visa cash machines in over 160 countries.
Convenient
Cash Passport is the most convenient way for you to take your spending money overseas. All you need to do is load the funds onto the card before you travel and this will enable you to manage your money abroad easily as you would at home. By using Cash Passport to pay directly for goods and services, or withdraw local currency of the country you are in from Visa cash machine, you can access your funds instantly, at any time of the day or night. So you do not need to worry about local bank opening hours or lengthy queues.
Extra Secure
The card is PIN (Personal Identification Number) protected and has a signature panel on the reverse, giving you peace of mind that your funds are secure. If your card is lost or stolen, you forget your PIN, or you require advice about card usage, you can call the Cash Passport 24 hour helpline for immediate assistance. For added security, you have the option to purchase an additional card held in your name which is linked to the same pot of spending money. If one of your cards is subsequently lost or stolen you can report this and continue to use the other card, ensuring you still have access to your money without any inconvenience. You also have the option to purchase an additional card in the name of someone else, which is especially useful as they can also access the same funds.
Easy to Budget
Cash Passport is pre-loaded with your travel money before your trip so you know exactly how much you are spending while away from home.
Reloadable
Your card is valid for the period of shown on the front of the card - this will not exceed three years.
If you have money left on the card at the end of your trip, you can choose to keep it there and top up the card next time you travel, or withdraw the balance when you get home by going back to the branch where you bought it and we’ll refund you the balance. |
