FMB splashes K1.5 million in prizes - 09/March/2010

During a draw that was held at FMB in Blantyre, Petifelo Chiotcha became the ultimate winner of the K1 million cash prize in the FMB Makwacha Kutapa-Kutaya Promotion that wound up on February 28 this year.
Mayamiko Club won the second prize of K250 000 while Conni Stars Club won the K150 000 third prize during the same draw.
Wezi Chavula, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) manager for FMB, said the promotion was held to plough back to the bank's customers, especially tobacco farmers.
Ten other tobacco farmers went away with K10 000 cash prizes.

To enter the promotion, the farmers were required to open a Makwacha account with FMB during the promotion period and register it at Auction Holdings Limited. Those with active Makwacha accounts also stood a chance to win in the promotion.
In its expansion, FMB has opened several branches in the country and is yet to open points at Mzimba and Nkhata Bay
