Mr Ram Rastogi (Deputy CEO)
Mr Rastogi has a Postgraduate in Geology and a Chartered Associate of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance. Having over 29 years’ rich experience in the areas of Banking Operations Management, Information Technology, Business Development, Client Servicing and Team Management at one of the world Largest Bank.

Mr Mbachazwa Lungu (Head of Retail Banking Division)  
Former GM of the LFC, he joined the group in August   1997as Customer Accounts Manager. In 2002, he was   promoted to Credit Manger before being elevated to the   No. 1 position of GM of LFC in Feb 2004. He holds an   MSc in Strategic Management from the University of   Derby (UK), a BCom (Accountancy) and a Diploma   Business Studies   from the University of Malawi. Prior to   joining LFC he worked for BAT (M) Limited as Internal   Audit Manager for 4 years and also for  Coopers &   Lybrand (now Ernest & Young) for 2 years. He is married   to Tileke and have 2 children. He likes travelling, watching   and playing volleyball as well as reading current affairs.

Mr Bas Nierop (Rabobank Consultant)
Bas Nierop is here to assist FMB in its change process to become a broad retail bank for all customers in Malawi: a process that will have a significant impact in many areas of the bank. During the last three years, he worked as the Chief Commercial Officer of NMB in Tanzania – which became the largest bank of the country with 135 branches and over 2,000 staff – responsible for all commercial retail and wholesale business as well as marketing and communication. Hobbies include tennis and golf.

Mr Marni Verma (Head of Operations)

Mr Emmaty Paul Jacob (Head of Information Technology)
Mr Jacob has an MSc in Mathematics and BSc in Mathematics and Statistics and prior to joining FMB had 29 years of experience in mainstream banking and IT related areas.  He joined FMB in 2002 as Head of Information Technology.

Mr Thomas Joseph Kadantot (Head of International and Corporate Banking)
Mr. Kadantot joined FMB in October 1995 as Manager for Foreign Business. He set up the international banking department and was later promoted to become Senior Manager and then Head of International Banking. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Accounting & Finance) with DISTINCTION from University of Liverpool, U.K. (Presently pursuing a dissertation with University of Liverpool leading to a MBA degree upon completion of dissertation) CAIIB (1) from Indian Institute of Bankers (I.I.B) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc-Physics, Mathematics and Statistics) from Bombay University.

Ms Agness Jazza (Acting Head of Credit Department)
Ms. Jazza holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Services from The Institute of Bankers of South Africa and a Diploma in Computer System Analysis and Design from Assocation of Computer Professionals of United Kingdom. Currently, Ms. Jazza is pursuing for a Post Graduate programme in Business Administration (MBA) with Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI). She has gained a broad understanding of FMB having held various positions within the Bank before being appointed Acting Head of Credit Department

Mr Darren Temperly (IT Manager)
Mr Darren Temperly is a Microsoft Certified Professional with Network Development and Management Skills. He has extensive experience in IT having worked in South Africa and Malawi. Prior to joining FMB he had worked as Technical Director of AFCOR Limited.

Ms Indira Sharma-Surtee (Head of Human Resources)
Ms Sharma-Surtee holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management (South Africa) and Diploma in Business Studies (Administration) from the University of Malawi.  She joined FMB in 1996 prior to which she worked for 4 years as Administration Manager on a large hydroelectric power scheme.

Mr Tiwonge Kaluwa (Senior Audit Manager)
Mr Kaluwa joined the bank in 1999 with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Malawi.  He has gained a broad understanding of FMB having held various positions within the Company before being appointed Audit Manager in July 2002.

Mr George Kamvulumvulu (Risk Manager)
Mr Kamvulumvulu holds an MBA from Henley Management College (UK) and a Diploma in Business Studies from University of Malawi.  Prior to his current position he was Financial Controller of LFC for 16 years.

Mr Nelson Thurasoni Gankha Njikho ( Programme Manager, Makwacha)
Mr Njikho has a BSc in Agriculture (With Credit) from the University of Malawi and an ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance. His previous experience includes a career of 27years with National Bank of Malawi where he rose to a position of Corporate Banking Manager. His is a skilled horticulturist having worked for the Research Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural resources for 3 years.

Mr Maxwell Chibisa Banda (Finance Manager)
Mr Banda holds a dip. PAECM and is a part qualified ACCA. He is a skilled accountant with broad experience in FMB having worked for the bank for the past 9 years.

Mr Fred Clarence Chipembere (Legal Officer)
Mr Chipembere heads the Legal Department. He holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Malawi. He is a fully fledged legal practitioner and prior to joining the bank he worked for Messrs Kalekeni Kaphale Lawyers (a firm) for 3 years where he was involved in drafting of legal documents and litigation at all levels of the courts up to and including the Supreme Court of Appeal. He has attended various courses in law including advocacy training organized by the British Council Barristers Advocacy Committee and the International Bar Association.

Mrs Mary Chilima (Marketing Manager)
Mrs Chilima holds an MSc in Strategic Management from the University of Derby (UK), a CIM Postgraduate Diploma and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Malawi. Prior to Joining the Bank she worked for Malawi Switch Centre (MALSWITCH) as Marketing and Sales Supervisor for more than 4 years.

Mr Rawlings Mvula (Credit Manager)
Mr Mvula is the Credit Manager with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Malawi. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked as an Associate Manager for 2 years with National Smallholder Farmers Association of Malawi (NASFAM) and Small Enterprise Development Organisation of Malawi (SEDOM).
