MR H. N. ANADKAT (Chairman)
Mr H N Anadkat holds an MBA from Cornell University and a B.Sc Economics (Hons) from the University of London and prior to returning to Malawi to establish First Merchant Bank he worked in a Corporate Finance House in USA specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions and Company Valuations. 

MR R. C. KANTARIA (Vice-Chairman)
Mr R C Kantaria is the chairman of Prime Bank Limited, Kenya and Managing Director of Prime Capital and Credit Limited Kenya and also holds directorates in a number of other sectors of the Kenyan economy, principally Property and Tourism. He holds a BSc in Economics.

MR K. N. CHATURVEDI (Director)
Mr K N Chaturvedi holds an MSc in Mathematics and is a member of the UK Institute of Bankers and has Accounting and Secretarial qualifications.  He has over 35 years banking experience, having worked in India, UK, USA and Malawi

MR R. N. NKOMBA (Director)
Mr R N Nkomba holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from Carleton University, Canada and BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto, Canada. He has held various positions in government among them, Permanent Secretary of Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport and Communication, Health, and Local Government. He has also served as Malawi’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany and Malawi High Commissioner to the Republic of Kenya.

MR J. M. O'NEILL (Director)
Mr J M O'Neill is a qualified chartered accountant with membership of the relevant institutes in Ireland and Malawi. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Management Sciences. Previous experience includes a career of 17 years with the international firm of accounts Deloitte in the UK and Malawi, including 6 years as a partner in Malawi.

MANAGEMENT

MR M. J. LUNGU (General Manager)
Mr M J Lungu holds an MSc in Strategic Management from the University of Derby (UK) and a BCom from the University of Malawi. He joined the company as Credit Manager in 1997 and was later appointed General Manager in February 2004. Prior to joining the company he worked for BAT Limited as Internal Audit Manager for 4 years and also for Coopers & Lybrand (now Ernest & Young) for 2 years.

MRS B. NSAMBO (Branch Manager -Lilongwe)
Mrs B Nsambo has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Business Studies (Secretarial Management) from the University of Malawi. She joined LFC as Business Development Officer in 2000 and was later promoted Branch Manager in 2005.

MRS J. LONGWE (Company Accountant)
Mrs J Longwe is holder of a Diploma in Business Studies (Accountancy) from the University of Malawi and part qualified ACCA. She joined LFC as a Divisional Accountant and was later appointed to her present position of Company Accountant in 2003. Previous experience includes working for DHL International for 5 years as an Accountant.
